JD Wetherspoon Hotel

We managed the planning application process for the redevelopment of five derelict buildings, including protected structures on Camden Street, to provide a contemporary 98-bedroom hotel with ancillary bar and restaurant facilities. 

This key city centre site is located within a conservation area, contained protected structures and faced challenges from third parties. The development was granted permission by Dublin City Council and upheld on appeal by An Bord Pleanála. 

We managed the international design team and engaged in pre-planning consultation with Dublin City Council. Post planning we have worked on compliance matters with the team and the hotel is now in operation and contributing to the vibrancy of Camden Street.
